Alibaba, the renowned technology company, is leveraging its prowess in artificial intelligence to forge partnerships with businesses that market products, focusing on content creation, translation to boost sales, and improving communication for product returns.
Zhang, an executive at the company, spoke at the Reuters Next Conference in Singapore, highlighting the optimistic AI landscape within Alibaba and its competitive stance against other regions like the United States.
“China is practically on the same level as the US in the rate of (AI) innovation,” Zhang pointed out.
Alibaba has been active in the marketplace with partnerships through AliExpress and Lazada, where it has revamped its e-commerce units on an international scale. The executive emphasized that the company boasts over 300 million consumers annually and more than one million merchants worldwide.
As a result, the company’s profits surged by about 44% from October to December 2023.
